In accordance with Financial Regulation 5.6 a list of due payments which arise on a regular basis as the result of a continuing contract, statutory duty or obligation must be prepared and authorised by full Council annually. The schedule (below) was presented at the Annual Parish Council meeting held on the 16th May 2022.

Regular Payees (Financial Regulations)The Parish Council is required under the Accounts & Audit Regulations to undertake an effective internal audit each year to evaluate the effectiveness of its risk management, control and governance processes taking into account public sector internal auditing standards or guidance.
The Parish Council appoints an Internal Auditor who is independent, competent and has no other role within the Council.
The Internal Audit report and any recommendations are discussed by full Council.

Each year members of the Parish Council carefully considers the budget for the next financial year, as a result of which a precept (an amount added to each householder’s Council Tax bill) is set.
At the Parish Council meeting held on the 19th December 2022, members agreed a budget for the 2023/2024 financial year of £230,500. It was further agreed to request a precept of £230,000 from South Norfolk Council. Details of the budget/precept can be found below:
